Mandatory Skills Assessment for TSS 482 Visa

When mandatory skills assessment is required, in all visa streams, applicants are required to demonstrate that they have commenced a skills assessment process, or they must provide a successful skills assessment outcome within the required time period.

In such cases, a valid reference number for a skills assessment that they have commenced or completed is considered sufficient to continue the application assuming any other validity requirements are met. Where this applies, evidence of successful completion of such an assessment will be requested where not already provided at the time of application.

For each occupation listed in the table below, a mandatory skills assessment for the 482 visa is required for individuals holding a passport from the corresponding countries listed. Exemptions may apply.
